Stefan Alexander hit the East Coast music scene with a bang in late 2006, winning the Audience Choice Awards at Emergenza’s Acoustic Hero Competition (DC).  From there, Alexander went on to collaborate with artists such as Jette Kelly (Jette-Ives), Keith Grimes (Eva Cassidy), and Danny Schwartz (DHS Sound); performing at The  Knitting Factory, Arlene’s Grocery, and The Shrine in NYC; The Rock & Roll Hotel, The Velvet Lounge, and the infamous Blues Alley in DC.

Five months after the release of his debut EP, “Halfway to Heaven,” he climbed to #1 in the Pop, Rock, and Blues genres of Myspace Music’s ‘Unsigned’ Charts (May 2009 Billboards, DC).

His music has been featured in several films.  Most notably his work - on and off screen - in the independent film “Laundromat,” playing in select theaters and film festivals this spring.

Recently winning John Mayer’s Side Stage Warfare Competition (Boston), Alexander has set his sights on the West Coast, planning a tour to coincide with the release of his debut independent album ‘Light and Music’,  debuting Spring 2011.

"...Alexander is one of the few young artists actually breaking into the scene... his aim should be as high as he can set it - because it's within reach..."
